Resistor Sheet Press
The resistor sheet press is a special equipment used to produce resistor sheets (such as electronic components such as varistors and thermistors).
Description
It mainly presses powder materials into sheet components of specific shapes through processes such as pressurization and sintering. The following is a detailed introduction to the resistor sheet press:
Main functions
- Powder molding: metal oxides (such as ZnO varistor materials) or ceramic powders are pressed into round sheets, square sheets and other shapes under high pressure.
- Pre-sintering treatment: Some presses integrate heating functions, and perform preliminary sintering while pressing to improve the strength of the blank.
- High-precision control: Ensure that the thickness, density and uniformity of the resistor sheet meet the performance requirements of electronic components.
Core structure composition
- Hydraulic/mechanical pressure system: Provide high pressure (usually tens to hundreds of tons) to ensure that the powder is tightly molded.
- Mold system: Replaceable molds (such as round, rectangular) to adapt to resistor sheets of different sizes.
- Feeding device: Automatically fill powder materials to improve production efficiency.
- Control system: PLC or CNC system, adjust parameters such as pressure, holding time, pressing speed, etc.
- Heating module (optional): Some equipment is equipped with a heating plate for pre-sintering.
Workflow
Powder filling: Fill the mixed resistor material powder into the mold cavity.
Pressing: The upper mold is pressed down and high pressure (usually 50-300MPa) is applied to form a dense green body.
Pressure holding: Maintain pressure for a period of time to reduce internal pores.
Demolding: Eject the molded resistor sheet and enter the subsequent sintering process.
Technical features
- High pressure accuracy: Small pressure fluctuations to ensure batch consistency.
- High degree of automation: Support continuous production and reduce manual intervention.
- Environmental design: Closed operation prevents powder from flying.
- Adjustable parameters: Pressure, speed, temperature (if heated) are programmable.
Application fields
- Varistor: such as ZnO resistors used in lightning arresters.
- Thermistor: such as NTC/PTC temperature sensors.
- Multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC): Some processes are similar.
Selection points
- Pressure range: Select tonnage (such as 100 tons, 200 tons) according to material density requirements.
- Mold compatibility: Whether it supports fast mold change.
- Control mode: Manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic.
- Additional functions: Whether heating, vacuum degassing, etc. are required.
